How to Fill SSC CGL 2025 Online Exam Form

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2025 online application process is a two-part process: One-Time Registration (OTR) and Filling the Online Application for the Examination.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to fill the SSC CGL 2025 exam online form:

Important Dates (as of June 16, 2025):

  • Online Apply Start On: June 9, 2025
  • Last Date For Apply Online: July 4, 2025 (11:00 PM)
  • Last Date For Payment Online: July 5, 2025 (11:00 PM)
  • Online Correction Window: July 9-11, 2025 (11:00 PM)
  • Tier I Exam Date: August 13-30, 2025 (Tentative)

Before You Start (Documents and Information to Keep Ready):

  • Mobile Number: To be verified through OTP. Keep it active.
  • Email ID: To be verified through OTP. Keep it active.
  • Aadhaar Card Number: (Recommended). If not available, any other specified Identity numbers like Voter Identity Card, PAN, Passport, Driving License.
  • Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate: For details like Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth.
  • Educational Qualification Details: Graduation degree certificate or final year details.
  • Scanned Photograph:
    • Recent passport-size photograph (not more than three months old from the publication of the official notification).
    • JPEG format.
    • Size: 20 KB to 50 KB.
    • Dimensions: 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (Height).
    • Should be without spectacles or cap, and both ears should be visible.
    • The face should occupy the rectangle entirely, with no area outside the lines, and it shouldn’t be too near or too far away.
  • Scanned Signature:
    • JPEG format.
    • Size: 1 KB to 12 KB.
    • Should be done on white paper with a black ink pen.
  • Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable): SC/ST/OBC.
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable).
  • PwBD Certificate (if applicable).
  • Ex-Servicemen Certificate (if applicable).

Part A: One-Time Registration (OTR)

This is mandatory, especially if you haven’t registered on the new SSC website (ssc.gov.in) before.

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to [suspicious link removed].
  2. Click on “New User? Register Now”: This link is usually available on the homepage in the login section.
  3. Fill Basic Details:
    • Enter your Mobile Number (will be verified via OTP).
    • Enter your Email ID (will be verified via OTP).
    • Provide your Aadhaar Card Number (or select another Photo ID Proof and enter its number).
    • Fill your Name exactly as given in your Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate. If your name has changed, indicate the same.
    • Re-enter your Name for verification.
    • Indicate your Gender (Male/Female/Transgender).
    • Re-enter your Gender for verification.
    • Fill your Date of Birth (DoB) exactly as given in your Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate.
    • Re-enter your DoB for verification.
    • Fill your Father’s Name exactly as given in your Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate.
    • Re-enter your Father’s Name for verification.
    • Fill your Mother’s Name exactly as given in your Matriculation (10th Class) Certificate.
    • Re-enter your Mother’s Name for verification.
    • Provide your Matriculation (10th Class) Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing.
    • Re-enter these details for verification.
  4. Additional Details:
    • Provide information about your Category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS).
    • Provide your Nationality.
    • Provide a visible Identification Mark.
    • Provide information about benchmark disabilities, if any.
    • Fill in your Permanent Address and Present Address.
  5. Create Password: You will be prompted to create a password.
  6. Final Submit: Upon clicking “Final Submit,” two different OTPs will be sent to your mobile number and Email ID. Enter one of the OTPs to complete the registration.
  7. Declaration: Read the declaration carefully and click “I Agree.”
  8. Registration ID and Password: You will receive a Registration ID and Password on your registered email and mobile number. Keep these safe for future logins.

Part B: Filling Online Application for the Examination

  1. Login: Go back to the SSC website (ssc.gov.in) and log in using your Registration ID and the password you created.
  2. Access Application Form: On your dashboard, look for the “Apply” section and click on “Apply” under “Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025.”
  3. Pre-filled Details: Many of your details from the One-Time Registration will be pre-filled. Verify them carefully.
  4. Fill Remaining Details:
    • Educational Qualification: Indicate details of your “qualifying” educational qualification (e.g., Graduation details).
    • Post Preferences (if applicable): Select the roles/posts you are interested in.
    • Exam Centers: Choose up to three preferred exam centers by region.
    • Ex-Servicemen/Age Relaxation: If you are serving in the Armed Forces or are an ex-serviceman, fill up the required information.
  5. Upload Photograph and Signature:
    • Photograph: Upload the scanned recent passport-size photograph as per the specified format (JPEG, 20-50 KB, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm). Ensure it meets all the requirements (no cap/spectacles, both ears visible, face within the rectangle). Some systems may allow live capture of the photo.
    • Signature: Upload the scanned signature as per the specified format (JPEG, 1-12 KB, black ink on white paper). Applications with blurred signatures will be rejected.
  6. Review and Verify: Carefully review all the details you have entered in the application form. Make sure there are no errors.
  7. Application Fee Payment:
    • Fee: INR 100 for General/OBC male candidates.
    • Exemptions: Women, SC/ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen are exempt from paying the fee.
    • Payment Mode: Pay the application fee online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa/Mastercard/Maestro Credit/RuPay Debit cards. You can also generate an SBI Challan for offline payment (if applicable).
  8. Final Submission: After reviewing and making the payment (if applicable), click on the “Final Submit” button.
  9. Print Confirmation: Download and print a copy of your completed application form and the payment receipt (if applicable) for your records.

Important Points to Remember:

  • Active Contact Details: Keep your registered Email ID and Mobile Number active throughout the recruitment process, as all communication will be sent there.
  • Accuracy: Ensure all details filled are accurate. The Commission provides a correction window, but it incurs a fee (INR 200 for the first time, INR 500 for the second).
  • Deadline: Complete the form and pay the fee before the last date to avoid any last-minute issues.
  • Eligibility: Before applying, make sure you meet the SSC CGL 2025 eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications and age limits for the posts you are interested in.
